PRIVACY POLICY

ASIAN CABLE COMMUNICATIONS INC (“ACCION”) values the data privacy of its subscribers while being compliant with Republic Act No. 10173 also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and the relevant rules, advisories, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission in relation to it. Thus, ACCION shall provide below the details as to how it collects, uses, shares, and protects the data provided by its subscribers.

PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

Subscribers who wish to avail of ACCION’s services, may do so by signing up and creating a profile. With the creation of said profile, the subscriber agrees that the following data (hereinafter, “Data”) shall be collected from them by ACCION:

• Name
• Email address
• Mobile Number
• Authentication information (password)

PURPOSE FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

ACCION uses the Data collected from its subscribers for the following purposes

• To provide the subscribers with ACCION’s services;
• To analyze how the subscribers use the website, app and other services provided by ACCION and deliver a high quality experience to its subscribers;
• To provide the subscribers promotions and other similar marketing activities based on the manner of use of the subscriber of the website which includes tie-ins with our partners, price discounts for services, contests, raffles, invitation to live events, giveaways among others.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

ACCION may share your data with its affiliates and its respective service providers and/or business partners who support ACCION in delivering its services to its subscribers.

ACCION may also share your data with law enforcement authorities if required by law or subject to a lawful order. ACCION assures that the data provided is limited to what is only required by the law or lawful order and the processing of said data shall still be in compliance with the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

ACCION may also share your data with third-party services to analyze web traffic data, engagement, and profiling of subscribers for marketing and advertising purposes. The following data are automatically gathered by the platform or third-party services: IP address; time of visit; web browser used; OS of device used; type of device used, age, gender; mobile service provider;  location during use of services; log-in duration per visit; subscription and renewal details; principle language used; mode of payment (excluding payment details such as card number, account number etc.); voucher code used, if any; social media account (should services be accessed through social media).

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

ACCION values the Data of its subscribers, and as such, ACCION has put in place adequate organizational, physical, and security safeguards to ensure that such Data is protected against any accidental or unlawful, destruction, alteration, and disclosure, as well as against any other unlawful processing. Such safeguards are specifically chosen owing to the nature of the Data that the subscribers provide and the risks involved in its processing. ACCION also requires its affiliates and its respective service providers and/or business partners to employ the same measures in protecting your Data. Lastly, ACCION also assures its subscribers that its employees, agents and representatives who are involved in the processing of Data hold such under strict confidentiality and are not intended for public disclosure.

RETENTION OF DATA COLLECTED

ACCION may continue to retain the Data provided by its subscribers for as long as the purposes for which they were collected remain to exist subject to applicable laws and regulations.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, subscribers have the right to be informed of the Data collected and the processing of such. Subscribers also have the right to request the following from ACCION:

1. Access to Data about them which ACCION processes;
2. Correction or rectification of their Data should such Data is determined to be inaccurate or incomplete;
3. Deletion or direct ACCION to block their Data;
4. Object to the processing of their personal data unless such processing is based on a legitimate interest as allowed under the DPA; and
5. Request for data portability or receive a copy of your Data which they can move, copy, or transfer securely for further use.

Should you have any concerns, you may send them to the Data Privacy Officer of ACCION through the email address info@accion.com.ph for prompt action. In the alternative, the same may be sent directly to the National Privacy Commission. 

ACCION may amend or revise the foregoing privacy notice from time to time in order to comply with any changes in the applicable laws, rules, and other issuances. We assure our subscribers that such updates shall be posted on our website, https://www.accion.com.ph.
