WHY 2026 ROUND Festival Matters

During the Festival announcement, Lee Sang-Hwa, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, emphasized the importance of the event.

By bringing artists from across the region onto one stage, ROUND highlights the shared creativity and cultural energy that unite Asia’s music scene.
A Once-in-10-Years Cultural Moment
Hosting 2026 ROUND in Philippines marks a historic milestone.
According to Eric Zerrudo, Chairman of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Festival represents a rare opportunity for Filipino audiences and the region.
“Our region is woven together by our stories, our voices, and a shared rhythm that connects us across borders. This is the spirit of the Philippines, proudly brought to you here in Round 2026.”
The Philippines takes center stage in this once-in-a-decade celebration of Korea-ASEAN cultural partnership.
The Philippines and ROUND: A Growing Legacy
According to Lee Hansol, Director of KBS WORLD, Filipino artists and audiences have long played an important role in the Festival’s journey.
“Throughout this journey, the Philippines has been a vital part of ROUND, joined by premiere talents like Ben&Ben, KAIA and 1stOne. In particular, SB19 performed with us three times. Watching them grow into a global icon that tours the world makes us incredibly proud.”
With 2026 ROUND in Philippines, that legacy continues — bringing Filipino talent and regional artists together once again on one stage.

Excitement for the Festival continued during the press conference as Kuk Chan Hwang, Chief Producer of KBS WORLD, officially revealed the artist lineup.
Speaking to Filipino audiences, he shared his enthusiasm for returning to Manila’s iconic Big Dome.
“Sa wakas, this April we are coming back to the Big Dome. I see how much energy you bring to every show here.”
“I really love all the musicians and all the countries with ROUND. And now, it’s your turn Philippines. Are you ready?”
His announcement marked the moment when the full Festival lineup was unveiled.
