The 2020 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship returns from its coronavirus-related break with a revised calendar. For the re-start, pilots will return to the track where the season started in January: the Daytona International Speedway. Instead of an endurance race, however, there will now be a sprint race over 2 hours and 40 minutes. Afterwards, drivers head to the Sebring International Raceway for another sprint race.

Originally, the 2020 Europe Le Mans Series was supposed to launch with the 4 Hours of Barcelona in Spain. But after the schedule has been revised due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the season now kicks-off with the 4 Hours of Le Castellet at the Circuit Paul Ricard, which has been built in 1970. The Michelin Le Mans Cup, the sister series to the European Le Mans Series for GT3 cars, will launch in Le Castellet as well.

GT World Challenge America – Virginia International Raceway

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Canada race of the 2020 GT World Challenge America 2020 in Bowmanville had to be cancelled. Now, the season resumes at the Virginia International Raceway. Two races are scheduled at the circuit, which is located in Alton near the border to North Carolina.

GT World Challenge Europe – 2020 Season Launch

Originally, the GT World Challenge Europe was supposed to launch the 2020 season with an endurance race in Monza in April. However, the coronavirus crisis destroyed these plans. Now, however, the engines are starting again in the European GT series. To finally kick off the season, participants meet for a three-hour endurance race in Imola, Italy.
